About BCASCO

Learn more about the Baltimore County Association of Senior Citizens Organizations.

Meet BCASCO

In the spring of 1976, a group of retirees formed a coalition to study challenges facing older adults in Baltimore County and across the nation.

BCASCO was formed in 1978 with representatives from fifty-three organizations. Today, it's recognized as a leader in advocacy for older adults in Baltimore County.

Information is dispensed through educational meetings, literature displays, health and community fairs, newspaper articles, discussions with organizations, and legislators.

General Meetings

In addition to senior citizens, retiree organizations, and individuals, BCASCO has business partners that promote themselves at five General Meetings. These meetings are held on the second Friday of September, November, January, March, and May from 9:30 to 12:00. The topic of each meeting is announced and publicized.

The March meeting is a "Senior Educational Forum" where business partners educate attendees on their represented subjects.

Legislation

BCASCO is interested in proposed legislation and supports legislation that enhances seniors' needs.
